Our Treatments for Pain From Anesis Spine & Pain Care

Below, you’ll find a description of some of our treatments for different pain conditions. After a thorough consultation and exam, each patient will receive one of our individualized pain care treatments and plans.

EPIDURAL STEROID INJECTION

An epidural steroid injection is a minimally invasive procedure that delivers steroids via a needle directly into the epidural space to help reduce inflammation.

MEDIAL BRANCH BLOCK

A medial branch block is a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure used to identify and treat pain in the facet joints of the spine that are causing pain in other areas, such as the neck. Medial branch blocks are typically used to diagnose pain in the neck, mid-back, or lower back. They are often used in conjunction with other diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies, to determine the cause of back or neck pain.

SACROILIAC JOINT INJECTION

A sacroiliac joint injection is a medical procedure that involves injecting a steroid medication and a local anesthetic directly into the sacroiliac joint, which is located in the lower back where the sacrum and ilium bones meet. The procedure is typically done to help relieve pain and inflammation in the joint caused by conditions such as arthritis, injury, or pregnancy.

SCS THERAPY

Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) therapy is a minimally invasive medical procedure that involves the implantation of a small device to deliver electrical impulses to the spinal cord, with the goal of reducing chronic pain. SCS therapy is primarily used to treat chronic pain in the back, neck, leg, and arms that have not responded to other treatments.

LUMBAR TRANSFORAMINAL EPIDURAL STEROID INJECTION

A lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI) is a medical procedure used to treat pain and inflammation in the lower back caused by conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or degenerative disc disease. This involves an injection of steroid medication and a local anesthetic into the area surrounding the spinal cord and nerves.
