We were able to get tested the next day and finally stay at my family’s home.
My partner and I live in New York next to a hospital, we started to feel anxious when we would hear sirens day and night. Around that time we would hear a lot of stories about violence towards Asians. One story I had read about happened in our neighborhood, an Asian woman had acid thrown on her. We knew that we needed to come to Seattle just for our peace of mind and to ensure our safety. When we arrived in Seattle, we couldn’t see my family and had to stay at a hotel. At the time, no one was testing asymptomatic people. My friend told me about Anesis and we were able to get tested the next day and finally stay at my family’s home. I’m incredibly thankful.
